The export value of South Korean petrochemical products decreased by more than 11% in August this year due to the increase in the overall trade deficit compared to the same period last year.
According to Nipna, citing the ICSI news website, the official statistics of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy show that the value of South Korea’s petrochemical exports in August 2022 reached 4 billion and 400 million dollars with an 11.7% drop compared to the same period. Despite the surge in product imports, Asia has been facing a trade deficit due to high global energy prices.
